Clooney/Quin Ladies are fielding two teams in the U14 league, and with numbers of over 35 registered in this age group, this enables all players to get plenty of game time.

However with this new competition running over the summer holidays numbers on both squads are low given this holiday period. It is the same for all participating clubs.

The Green Team have played 4 matches with 2 wins in the earlier games against Kilrush and Fergus Rovers, when more players were available and two losses in recent times against Doonbeg and Kilmurry Ibrickane, with a reduced squad. Next matches are this Thursday 5th v Banner Ladies in Lee’s Road at 6.45pm and Monday 9th v neighbours DooraBarefield in Gurteen. While they have mixed fortunes, their earlier performances will main they maintain their Division A status for Championship which starts mid August.

The Red Team have had similar issues with reduced numbers due to Holidays and have played two matches to date against Corofin and Fergus Rovers, and while competitive have yet to secure a victory on this competition. They have 3 matches remaining against Liscannor, Cuil Gaels & DooraBarefield to be played over the next two weeks. They too will be competing in U14 Championship in mid August.
