Good things come to those who wait! And on the 28th of June 2018 the ladies football under 12 Division 4 championship began in earnest for the Clooney Quin green team in sweltering heat in Parteen.
The Green team despite their youth had experience in abundance over their hosts and held command from begining to end. Impressive was their running off the ball, tackling and passing.
The visiting supporters took great pride in seeing their care weave in and out of tackles and kick long balls into the forwards and take great scores with such aplomb.
It may not always be like this with tougher tasks ahead but a good start is half the battle.
Well done to all involved. It is onwards and upwards and all going well the smiles of these girls will only get bigger & brighter!
