The U13’s lined out against Ballyea in the the first round of the U13A Hurling Competition.
The Clooney Quin lads beat the home side on a score line of Ballyea 2 2 Clooney Quin 1 14.

Score at half time was Clooney Quin 1 8 to 1 goal.
This championship match also doubled up as the final of The Ballyea under 13A hurling tournament in honour of a long standing mentor with Ballyea who died last year. His family presented a beautiful shield to our captain Colm Cassidy. Ballyea provided tea and sandwiches for all in their clubhouse. A very enjoyable occasion and a big thank you to Ballyea for their hospitality.
The U13’s will face Inagh Kilnamona in the next round and this will be played within the next week.
The U12 lads will travel to Mullinahone on Saturday August 29th to compete in the Mullinahone annual U12 tournament. Best of luck to all travelling down.
