Doora Barefield Under 10 Camogie Blitz (16/09/17)
After the trip to Dublin on the previous Sunday and midweek training on the Wednesday the week was finished off with a scheduled blitz at our near neighbours St Joseph’s Doora Barefield at their pitch in Gurteen. There was a great turnout of girls for the blitz with Clooney management being able to put two teams out against Barefield (2 teams) and Ruan.
In all the games played by the Clooney girls on the day they showed great skill, strength and enthusiasm. They were not afraid to tackle, harass or challenge and the girls passing and handling ability is coming to the fore in these matches. These are the skills which they have been learning, practising and honing at training sessions throughout the year and are now well able to show off.
