Clooney Quin were first to put the scores on the board with Thomas O’ Cerbhallain getting the first 2 points of the game. The visitors had the wind in the first half and it proved significant throughout the game. St Josephs got the next. Clooney Quin were awarded a penalty 15 minutes into the first half and it was put to the back of the net by Thomas O’ Cerbhallain. O’ Cerbhallain pointed again and got Clooney Quins next goal from good interplay with Liam Keating. Cormac O’Halloran pulled off a great save just before half time that protected Clooney Quins lead. This left the halt time score St Josephs  0 5 and Clooney Quin 2 3.

It was all St Josephs for the first 10 minutes of the second half where they scored 2 5 in 10 minutes making things very difficult for Clooney Quin. Conal Egan got Clooney Quins first score of the second half in the form of  a goal after 12 minutes . Clooney Quin got 2 converted points from frees there after from Thomas O’ Cerbhallain in the  second half. The visitors managed to come within 2 points of St Josephs but that would be as close as they would get.
