The minor hurlers put up a great battle against Kilmaley last Friday evening in Clooney in the Minor A championship. They conceded two early goals in the first half but fought back very hard and showed great character to win by two points on the final whistle. They play Ballyea tonight September 13th in Clooney at 6pm.
The U16 hurlers were unlucky on Sunday afternoon not to capture a win over Inagh Kilnamona in Inagh in the U16 A championship. The home side scored a late point in the dying stages of the game to make it a draw game. Clooney Quin will now play Clarecastle in their final round game on Sunday. They will play Clarecastle in Clooney at 2:15 .
