Sunday morning 28th May Clooney Quin ladies U10s took to the pitch for the first time in 2017. Clarecastle ladies Gaelic football club hosted Kilmurry Ibrickane and ourselves on a fresh and bright morning. The Clooney girls, 14 of them, eager to impress, were up first against a very strong and skilful Quilty side. They fought gallantly & showed great determination right up to the very end, such an admirable quality in a young team.
After a break to allow the home side play KIb the Clooney team came out fighting fit and ready to show what they could do in their second match versus Clarecastle. An all round performance coupled with a great display of skills by the Clooney girls brought them out on top. Thanks to Clarecastle for hosting a great morning of football and providing the well earned refreshments for the girls.
We are all looking forward to see what this great bunch of girls can do on their next day out.
