To parents, volunteers, coaches, administrators, retired and active players, club members & fellow parishioners.
We’re half way there on the target of household contributions to the 5 year, €250 per annum direct debit scheme (€21 per month) – we have commitments from over 150 individuals already. The reaction during such a challenging time is heart warming and a great vote of confidence in the club and a testament to the community spirit within Clooney Quin.
In the coming weeks, we will continue to politely push you all in the direction of a sign up. We will be on the road come January if we haven’t met before then. If we reach our target then the aim of clearing all debt within 5 years is very realistic. We are also targeting all available government funding, grants and favourable lending.
At the same time we have secured almost 40 businesses to sponsor €1,500 apiece over a 3 year period. With the year we’ve had this is testament to the resilience of local employers, their belief in the club and how it is run.
The project has obtained full planning permission. The building blocks are taking shape; you have seen the initial improvements such as the new car park and a general tidy up and we are hoping to break ground on a substantial all weather wall ball facility in early 2021.
Over the past 10 years the club has shown itself to be a huge force on the pitch and we need to match that progress off the pitch. This development will help counter any fall off in participation numbers as our younger players get older, make the playing and spectator experience far more enjoyable, bring the community together and hopefully bring home a few more cups along the way.
We’ve started now and there is no turning back, the project will get done.
We would be very grateful if you would submit your form to a member of the committee or we can collect your form from you. If you haven’t seen it already, why not visit the club website today www.clooneyquingaa.ie where you can get on board in a matter of minutes. You will be sent an acknowledgement and receipt of payment within days. If you’re not sure, why not look again at the 3D plans and see what we will all achieve.
We were all honoured and delighted to accept the responsibility of delivering this project for the club, it is a big task, but one we are fully committed to seeing through.
Thanks again. Clooney Quin Abu.
