“As the 2017 season gets underway, we are working to ensure that the club fully meets its obligations regarding the safety of all its child members. The club is obliged to ensure that all managers/coaches/mentors/administrators/first aiders involved with teams that include any players under the age of 18 understand their personal obligations with respect to the protection of children in the club.
We are running a Child Protection Course in The Inn at Dromoland on March 6th at 7pm.
This course is expected to last approximately 3 hours. Attendees who successfully complete this course will be aware of the processes in place to safeguard children in the club and will be aware of their own responsibilities to ensure the safeguards are effective in our club environment.
Completion of the Child Protection Course is mandatory for all mentors. There can be no exceptions.
Please mail or text Peter Cantwell to book a place on the course (peter.clooneyquin@gmail.com, 087 9151764)
If you need the course but it is not possible to attend the course organized for March 6th, please contact Peter Cantwell or Helen Reynolds (087 6808496). The same course will be run at different dates at other club venues. We will endeavour to book you on a convenient course.
For managers/coaches/mentors who completed the Child Protection training in 2015/2016, this training is valid for 2017. There is no requirement to repeat the training”
