Over 20 new Clooney Quin coaches took their first steps along the GAA Coach Education Programme by attending the Foundation Award Coaching Course hosted by Clooney Quin during the month of January. The course was held in Clooney National School in 3 sessions over 3 weeks. The course content is designed to help coaches develop effective coaching skills for the development and delivery of training activities, focusing on games skills, body movement and building rapport with players.

We look forward to seeing all the participants putting their new skills into practise on the playing fields of Clooney when the 2017 season gets underway.

The club would like to thank all the attendees for committing their time to the course. The club would also like to extend a special thanks to Clooney National School for allowing us to use their hall for the duration of the course.

Finally, the club would also like to  thank John Condon for organising access to the school before each session and then closing the school after the sessions.
